An object with mass m held by two horizontal strings and two vertical strings inside a stationary vehicle. If the vehicle start to accelerate by a, but the object inside still stay stationary toward the vehicle(object's position didn't change). Then, the distance did the car traveled for t time is...(answer in term of T1, T2, T3, T4, g, and t)
The answer is :
First we draw all the force that work on the object (see the only pic above).
Then, Let's start by the Newton law of Resultant Forces (divided into two base, first is x-axis base and second is y-axis base)
For x-axis base: we get the acceleration of a is (T2 - T1)/m
For y-axis base: we get the mass of m is (T4 - T3)/g
Then substitute mass of m into acceleration of a and we get acceleration of a is ((T2 - T1)/(T4 - T3))g
Now after we get the acceleration then at last we find the value of distance traveled by using equation of kinematics for distance which is d = Vo.t + 1/2 at^2
by substituting acceleration a into the equation we get the final answer of distance d.
That all I can share for this case.. Hope it can help you in learning Physics hehehe :p
Happy Expressing..!!
